Zaira Solano | Attorney at Law
Zaira D. Solano earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Georgia College & State University. While earning her degree, she worked with a solo practitioner in the metro Atlanta area and gained valuable, hands-on experience in family law, criminal law, and worker’s compensation law prior to her legal education. Zaira worked for several firms throughout the Atlanta area while earning her law degree at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. Zaira discovered her passion for immigration law when she studied immigration with Professor Joseph Rosen and later earned the CALI award for her excellence in asylum and refugee law. She clerked for an immigration attorney and for the Fogle Law Firm, a premier immigration law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Zaira also worked with the Fulton County Public Defender’s Office in the complex division defending individuals with felony charges including murder, aggravated battery/assault, aggravated robbery, possession and distribution of drugs, domestic violence, and possession of firearms. Zaira was raised in Weehawken, New Jersey in a tightly knit Dominican family. She is fluent in both Spanish and English. Early in life, Zaira realized that she wanted to be an attorney and set educational goals to achieve her status today. She is highly passionate about her career and works diligently to defend her clients’ rights.
